K3 – Andelst

Business relocation to the A15.

K3 has been active in raw material extraction since 1928. Previously employees of K3 were spread over different locations, when majority of them came together in the new building in Andelst GRIP accepted the challenge to handle the design and re-location. Creating unity and a place where everyone feels welcome and at home. The biggest challenge was to realize an optimal office design equipped to the activities of very different departments.

Special floor finish.

Like the contours of a foundation the PVC floor meanders trough each department floor and by doing so it creates a eye-catcher and point of reference in the interior. The versatile working cafe offers an informal meeting place and room for relaxation. The colors and materials have been chosen based on the various deparments the company holds. The pallete contains five grey tones and helps the user orientate where they are in the building.
The modern workplaces are mostly adjustable to standing height and are fitted with a clear laquered steel base. The worktop matches the PVC flooring and completes the uniform look and feel.

Clear expectations through 3D visualization.

The design is fully elaborated in 3D. For example, it is possible to move through the building before the first work has taken place. The interior design is determined on the basis of the images.
